PREPARATION: Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned of dust, dirt, and grease. This can be done using a pressure washer outside or, for delicate surfaces, a bucket of clean water and a damp sponge for a gentler approach. In most cases, this can be done immediately after polishing or wet sanding. Verify that no grease or dirt remains on the surface. Allow the surface to dry completely, and if necessary, use acetone and a lint-free cloth to wipe down the surface and remove any lingering stains, dirt, or grease. Before application, ensure the temperature is above 8°C and the surface temperature does not exceed 23°C.

APPLICATION: Confirm the surface is fully cleaned and dry. If applying the sealer externally, only do so if no rain is forecasted for at least 4 hours. For the initial application, spread the H-SEAL sealer evenly across the surface using a short/medium pile roller, ensuring complete saturation without leaving any pools of liquid. It is recommended to use a 4-inch mini roller, as this will absorb less liquid into the roller and leave more on the countertop. Allow 10 to 20 minutes for the sealer to visibly dry, then apply a second and third layer. The second and third layers will require significantly less sealer to coat the surface. If you have previously sealed your concrete countertop with H-SEAL, 1-2 maintenance/top-up coats will be sufficient. Allow 2-3 hours (longer in low temperatures) before touching or placing items on the surface, and 24 hours for final use. Always test the sealer on a small area first before applying it to the entire surface.

COVERAGE: 1 litre of H-SEAL can cover 5-8 m2, depending on the surface roughness and porosity of the concrete. The smoother the surface, the less sealer will be needed. For surfaces sanded to 1200-3000 grit, the sealer may cover up to 10-12 m2.
