Tenax, an Italian company, offers a solvent-based sealer for natural stone. According to tests, this product, known as Proseal, provides the best value for sealing various types of stone, including granite (even exotic varieties), limestone, sandstone, terrazzo, concrete agglomerate, and even engineered stone.

Tenax claims that Proseal can cover an impressive 200 to 300 square feet per liter. However, to ensure optimal results, the product must be evenly applied on dry and clean materials. The presence of water, dust, or other contaminants may affect the uniformity of the surface finish.

The manufacturer recommends applying Proseal using a brush, sponge, cloth, or spray gun. It's crucial to apply the right amount that the material can naturally absorb. After a few seconds, the surface should be cleaned (buffed) with a clean cloth. Any excess product may create a sticky film, and it must be removed immediately after application.

Tenax suggests repeating the application process 10-15 minutes after the initial treatment. The anti-stain effect will be achieved 24 hours following the treatment. In the case of floor applications, it's important to avoid walking on the surface until the treatment is complete.

Before treating a surface for the first time, Tenax advises testing Proseal on a small, inconspicuous area to assess the effect. After use, the tins should be tightly sealed, as Proseal is classified as a hazardous material.

Proseal is an industry-leading product, with a density of 0.80 gr/ml at 25°C and a transparent/opalescent standard color. It is well-suited for commercial and industrial applications.
